There is no justifiable reason two consenting adult humans should be barred from committing to one and other for (what's supposed to be) the rest of their lives.

It's fucking asinine.

All the bullshit, and flimsy arguments are a steamy pile of pre-digested nonsense. It's rhetoric and hyperbole intended to scare the uneducated and myopic into joining the easy side.

The easy side being to let frightened people throw money around and make your decisions for you while you sit daftly in a corner, playing with a ball of string, watching paint dry, or doing whatever the fuck else you do to avoid the terrorizing prospect of using your god damned brain.

Doing what's right means not always doing what's easy.

I've learned that shit the hard way.

It's unfathomable to me that there's a bill attempting to govern this in the first place. Now, more of those tax dollars have to be used to decide they've made an egregious faux pas, and repeal the fucking thing.

DOMA simply should not exist. There shouldn't be a fucking bill telling you who to whom you can and can't commit your life. A whole fucking lot of taxpayers have had their investment squandered by scared fat cats engaged in a pissing contest.

For fuck's sake, don't we have somewhere to invade, or are we just going to declare a variety of wars on a variety of causes till this nation fucking cannibalizes itself?
