An Open Letter To Mayor Micheal Nutjob

Dear sir (and at this point, I'm using the term loosely),

How fucking dare you!

With all due respect (and mind you, I said "due" respect, not "generic amount of automatic respect you think is due to you by simple fact of being elected mayor"), What the hell is wrong with you? I get that you feel the need to act in accordance with the wishes of your constituents, since it's those people who are responsible for your title, but I think you're losing sight of that.

Here's a couple of facts for you, sir:

1- As of this moment, there have been 189 registered homicides in this city. Only slightly less than one a day, and an increase over the 170 at this same time last year. This is according to http://phillypolice.com/about/crime-statistics/. It's not a guess.

2- This number does not include accidental deaths, heat related deaths, or deaths by any other unnatural means that is not ruled as homicide.

3- There have been no soda consumption related deaths. At all. Period. Ever.

4- There have been no deaths directly related to FEEDING HUNGRY PEOPLE ON THE STREET!

At all.

Period.

Fucking EVER!

I don't know what your major malfunction is, and I've attempted to contact you respectfully and civilly to have a couple of very simple questions answered, but to no avail. You seem to think that as an unimportant, inconsequential citizen of this city, I do not merit a response.

I submit to you sir, that by virtue of being a voting, tax-paying citizen of this City, Philadelphia, the best fucking town in America, I am owed your respect.

Why?

You're a public servant, and I am a card carrying member of your public.

You're answerable to me, sir, and every other registered voter this town has to offer.

What possible justification do you have for placing a ban on feeding the homeless? Where the fuck were you when the rest of us were having a 12 day heat wave?

Do you have any idea what it's like to be hungry?

Poor?

Thirsty?

To not have a place to go?

Stop trying to hide our homeless in this city, and start doing something to help. That's what the fuck we pay you for!

To be fair, you have done and said many things that I do respect and applaud you for, but galavanting off to Washington to partake in a fucking soda summit, and imposing a fine on people who are trying to help their fellow men and women in this town are none of those things.

Stop worrying about how much soda we drink, and start worrying about how many of our Septa bus operators are being assaulted by passengers.

Stop worrying about how the city will look if people give FOOD and WATER (You know, basic human fucking necessities) to HUNGRY and THIRSTY indigents, and start worrying about how many kids are running around town blasting people away with illegal guns indiscriminately!
