The more I look back on my life and compare certain aspects of it with their counterparts now, the more I learn from my mistakes.
They (whomever they are) say hindsight is 20/20. As a consummate nerd, I wear glasses. This means my sight has never been 20/20. At least not without corrective lenses.
Self examination is good for you. It gives you perspective. It warns against potential dangers and missteps. As an added bonus, it can make good things on your life now look like pure fucking awesome with a patina of amazing.
If you have the chance, I highly recommend it.
